Dunsmuir City Park
Our city park is not what you expect to see when you hear the words “City Park.” It consists of 14 acres of scenic beauty lying right next to the Upper Sacramento River among cedar, oak, and pine trees. This setting makes our park the perfect place to hold receptions, weddings, picnics, and concerts. Or just to come and hang out and have fun. It also provides access to some of the best trout fishing in all of northern California. There is no charge for fishing other than possessing a current license and following the rules established by California Fish and Game. Park facilities include:
- Picnic tables and barbecues
- Safety-approved children’s playground equipment
- Stage
- Amphitheater
- ADA compliant restrooms
For information about using the park facilities for large events (20 or more participants), please contact the Dunsmuir Recreation and Parks District office. (Double booking is not a happy time.)
