Mt. Shasta Lavender Farms

Mt. Shasta Lavender Farms

Mt. Shasta Lavender Farms, located twenty minutes north of Mt. Shasta City, California, on a 3500 ft. sunny slope, grows two types of lavender for oil, ornamentation, and culinary use. We now invite visitors seasonally and by appointment to cut lavender and to enjoy the magnificent views. Their lavender is watered from a deep well of naturally carbonated water with the same pH as rain water. It thrives in well-drained volcanic soil and enjoys a full southwestern exposure. Lavender is an extraordinarily versatile plant, known for its calming effect in aromatherapy. It also has antiseptic properties and is known to discourage insects. Mostly, it is enjoyed for its beauty and long-lasting fragrance.
