From its inception in 2004, the Scott Valley Bluegrass festival was one of California’s premiere bluegrass festivals. It is “a festival of the people, by the people, and for the people,”  Bluegrass Hall of Famer Frank Ray loved to call the Scott Valley Bluegrass Festival.

Located in the friendly small town of Etna, California, off I-5 near Mount Shasta and Yreka, south of the California-Oregon Border, this special, unique festival features food vending by local service clubs, band housing with local families, a Friday evening jam downtown on Main Street, which is shut down with hay bales to vehicle traffic. Yes, the Scott Valley Bluegrass Festival even held the distinction of serving delicious fresh homemade pies by the local church ladies.

The closing of the festivals’ doors after the 2014 event, left a hole in the hearts of many – a hole that never truly healed, until now.

The Scott Valley Bluegrass Festival is back this year.
