2019 Digger’s Dirt Party: 5-Day Common GOLD Dig Outing at Scott River

John W. Scott, who discovered gold in the river at Scott Bar in the summer of 1850, invites you to come get your share. Welcome home to Northern California where the Scott River meets the Klamath River an a Common Dig “Dirt Party” Outing gets underway! This outing will be at LDMA Scott River Camp, west of Yreka, California. It is open to anyone that wants to come play in the dirt and find their gold.

Participants must register by calling GPAA headquarters at 1-800-551-9707 no later than 09/19/19.

What is a “Common Dig Dirt Party Outing?” Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA), in association with the Lost Dutchman’s Mining Association (LDMA), hosts a National Gold Mining Common Dig “Dirt Party” where all participants will be working for their gold split at the end of the outing.

All gold recovered during the operation is split between the participants. All participants will receive a vial with a picker or two in it as well as a PayDirt bag that has their split of the gold recovered. It is more than just Gold Diggin Dirt Party. . . . You will meet people from all over the country, that want to learn more about how to become a better gold prospector. People are there to help you find more gold, both hands on training and a “classroom” setting. Some subjects include: Basic prospecting, geology, panning, GPS, detecting, etc. There are also daily fun activities that help benefit the camps.

We encourage you to invite friends and family to join you at the outing; however, only paid participants can be a part of outing activities, i.e. classes, seminars, hands-on training, etc. This is a great opportunity to get new people involved in prospecting for gold. This is a great escape to learn and have a good time.

Who Can Participate? GPAA-LDMA National Gold Mining “Common Dig Dirt Party Outing” participants will be working for their gold split at the end of the outing. OPEN to all with the following fee structure per participant:

LDMA Lifetime Members . . . . .$100

Non-LDMA Members . . . . . . . .$150

Kids (8 to 17 years of age) . . . $50

PayDirt Bag for referring a Non-Member to Sign-Up & Participate

NOTES: Camp Site Fees are an additional cost.
