Whether you’re camping or renting a home, with or without children, staying for a weekend or staying for the summer, Dunsmuir has something special for you. Come for a visit, and your heart will always call you back. July 13th Events: Dunsmuir POPS has a whole day of music! 12-2pm Instrument Petting Zoo Open House for all ages. No registration required. 2-3pm Urban Griots Session 1 (0-5 years) – Register by Jul 7 3-4pm Urban Griots Session 2 (6-12 years) – Register by Jul 7 A drumming and early literacy workshop for pre-schoolers and the adults in their lives. Entrance is free. Register for Session by  July 7th at (415)619-9243 or email musicishealingus@gmail.com. 8pm Two Acts: Allison and Victor & 2/5LiVE! These two groups will combine to bring a fabulous night of music. Allison and Victor: Together they create a fusion of musical forms uniquely their own. They blend roots music — a fusion of jazz, folk, blues, a little funk, originals and some jazz standards laced with some French lyrics. 2/5LiVE! with Nathan Sivananda on bass, Stefan Schittko on keys, Victor Martin on saxophone and Ray on drums. Buy Tickets here: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4284349 Moonrise Canyon will host Pyroclastic Chocolate’s pop up shop from 5–9pm, and a funk & soul dance party from 6-9pm with DJ MixMastaShasta Mossbrae Hotel will be a center for outrageous fun! 2-7 pm Mossbrae Hotel owner Marc Rowley will act as ring leader and empresario to a Zany Buffoon Troupe with his two brothers Max Goof and Max Goof. The troupe will be entertaining folks about town with antics, tricks and musical delights. Rowley says of his participation in the troupe, “I have ineptness down to an art form.” 1-6 pm Test how well you know Dunsmuir with a scavenger hunt. Pick up your clue sheet at the front desk of the Mossbrae Hotel and return a completed one by 6 pm. Completed clue sheets will be submitted for a raffle. Compelling prizes have yet to be revealed. 1-7 pm Mossbrae Hotel will be offering refreshments and room tours. Come take a look. Munchies, aka Video Station, will have 3 tacos for $5- yum! The Sacred Well is hosting Sage Hands Integrative Healing Circle at 10am with Christine Brusati, and a pop-up shop with Beloved Soaps. Please also stop in and add your contributions to our Gratitude Tree. Olde Thyme Tattoo is offering nose or belly button piercings for only $20! Siskiyou Arts Museum is hosting the opening of an art show called “Ebb & Flow,” an open call exhibit that will celebrate our precious water resource in all of its forms. Shattered Pulp & Curiosity Shoppe will have $1 items for sale. Ask to see the old bank warehouse, full of diamonds in the rough!
