Harvest Festival from 10am to 6pm on October 12, 2019 on Main Street, McCloud, CA. This year brings the sale of locally made fresh apple pies, both whole and by the slice. Apple pie pre-sales are available through the event page on the McCloud Chamber website, www.mccloudchamber.com.
This family-friendly event includes children’s game booths manned by students from McCloud schools. All proceeds from the kid’s booths directly benefit McCloud Schools. Also included is a pumpkin patch which offers children a choice of hot cocoa or apple cider. Kid’s ticket packages at $15 include 5 games, a free pumpkin, choice of beverage, Halloween bag coloring and a small treat bag. As in previous years, the morning music will include young musical artists. Starting at 3pm, local band The Hill Street Howlers will entertain guests. As in previous years, fresh-pressed apple cider, an apple pie competition, scarecrow competition, horse-drawn wagon rides, and a large variety of vendors will round out the event.
Concurrent with the festival are the McCloud Heritage Quilt show at the McCloud High School and a chili cook off at the American Legion. The horse-drawn wagon ride will travel to each event as part of the ride. Also, starting at 7pm, the Axe & Rose will host the band, Secret Society Handshake in their Cascade
