Top of the State Run (Weed)

07/07/2018 12:00 am 2018-07-07 23:00:00 America/Los_Angeles Top of the State Run (Weed) The event includes 2 mile and 10K courses.  The 10k course was changed in 2015 to include bike trails in the meadow area in South Weed.  This  change reduced conflicts with traffic and provided a more enjoyable experience with great views of surrounding mountains. The final two miles follow the Bear Trail behind the College of the Siskiyous campus. Participants in the 2-mile event can chose between a competitive 2-mile race along South Weed Blvd, or a leisurely non-competitive 2-mile walk on the Bear Trail. Water will be available at aid stations along the route.  Runners encounter moderate hills on both courses. AWARDS: Trophies will be presented to the top male and female runner in each race.  Ribbons will be presented to the top three male and female runners in each 10-year age division. REGISTRATION:  Early registration – $20 through July 8th.  Late and race day registration – $25. FAMILY DISCOUNT:  We are offering a $5/person discount for families registering 3 or more participants.     South Weed, CA
