Always research and plan ahead when exploring Siskiyou. Check the conditions and accessibility of any location before heading out as weather, roads, maintenance, or other factors may affect the status. Additionally, consult with the agency overseeing the land you wish to explore – County, State, or Federal – to ensure you have the most accurate and up-to-date information.
NOTE: Event details and postponements are constantly being updated in light of COVID-19. Please contact individual event organizers for details before making plans.
An Arts & Nature event
Join the Mount Shasta Bioregional Ecology Center for a nature writing workshop where we will release what no longer serves and tend our inner fires for the new year ahead. Workshop leaders Evonne Ellis, MFA in Creative Writing and instructor at Chadron State College, and Mount Shasta Ecology Center’s Community Education Coordinator, Kayla Marie will guide us through fiery writing prompts centered around healing themes, and time to reflect and share as a community. No writing experience necessary! All ages are welcome at this event.
