Castle Lake

Castle Lake is a must-see for hikers in northern California. Year after year, the Castle Lake Trail draws some of most visitors of any route in the area, and for good reason. The trail serves as a great introduction to the Trinity Alps and Mt. Shasta area as a whole. In good winters, ice fishermen and ice skaters experience the lake in a whole new way.
