Nestled in a valley, northeast of the small town of Weed, lies this delightful paddler’s paradise. Magnificent low foothills covered with stands of a trees and colorful lake side vegetation along the shoreline provide spectacular visual displays.
Sweeping views of Mt. Shasta can be seen from the lake while paddling. The lake is open to all types of boating. The strong wind conditions draw windsurfing and sailing enthusiasts. Located close to the lake is a primitive campground with shady campsites available on first-come, first-served basis.

Directions: From 1-5 N, take exit 747 for US-97 toward Central Weed/Klamath Falls. Turn right onto US-97 N/U.S. 99/Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway/S Weed Blvd. After 3.8 miles, turn left onto Big Springs Road, then turn left onto Gallop Rd. Shortly thereafter, turn left onto Lake Shore Drive.
