Five Farm-to-Table Restaurants in Siskiyou

As you drive through Siskiyou, one of the first things you’ll notice is the beautiful farmland throughout the region. Siskiyou is full of family-owned and operated farms featuring fruits, vegetables, honey, eggs, free-range and grass-fed meat and poultry. Our local farmers fuel many of our local restaurants. Here are a few of our favorites.

Café Maddalena

Talk about a local treasure, Café Maddalena in Dunsmuir is one Siskiyou’s best kept secrets. Their menu includes locally sourced and imported ingredients including fresh Mediterranean cuisine, with flavors from Spain, France, Italy and North Africa. The bistro’s warm ambiance make it a favorite destination for locals and tourists alike.

*Café Maddalena is taking a short winter break, but don’t worry their delicious greens, meats, and superb wine will be available again starting February 14!

M5 – Five Marys Burgerhouse, Bar & Grill

Make your way to M5 – Five Marys Burgerhouse, Bar & Grill in Fort Jones for the ultimate farm-to-table experience. The new restaurant serves locally raised beef, pork, and lamb directly from their family farm, which is just five minutes down the road. Their exceptional meat is already drawing visitors from near and far. We can’t get enough of their steak dinner.

Lily’s Restaurant

Lilys Restaurant in Mount Shasta is known as a destination restaurant. Visitors travel from all over and make a point to stop at Lily’s to enjoy fine dining in a cottage setting. Their farm-to-table concept includes fresh and organic ingredients. Try one of their benedicts, which comes with herb-roasted potatoes. We are already salivating!

Yaks On The 5

Yaks On The 5 is one of Siskiyou’s hidden gems and one of our favorite eateries in Dunsmuir. Known for their handcrafted foods, award winning microbrews, and world famous sticky buns, Yaks On The 5 is all about serving locally grown and raised food products. Their hamburger meat comes from nearby Prather Ranch. Our favorite is the Cilantro Bomb Burger.

*Yaks On The 5 is temporally closed for building updates, but hopes to be flame broiling their one-of-a-kind meats by the first week of February!

Jefferson’s RoadHouse

Locally owned Jefferson’s RoadHouse specializes in steaks and burgers. They also offer sandwiches, salads and vegetarian options. Their laid-back atmosphere has earned the restaurant a reputation as one of the best steakhouses in Yreka. Visitors rave about their homemade biscuits and melt in your mouth steaks.
