COVID-19: Siskiyou is wide open!

As we enter the third year since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the sun is rising on a return to normalcy. We are fortunate to have so much to see and do in the wide-open spaces of California’s North and are eager to safely welcome visitors from near and far. Below are some Frequently Asked Questions about the status of travel in Siskiyou to guide you.

Is Siskiyou open for travel?

Yes! With Covid-19 cases declining across California and Siskiyou, we currently have no travel restrictions or requirements in place. We are accessed by two airports, less than an hour’s drive in California and Southern Oregon, driving directions are easy to follow and you will surely enjoy the scenic journey.

What is open?

All Siskiyou hotels, restaurants, businesses, and attractions are cleared to be fully open without restriction. No capacity limits or distancing is required. Whether you prefer the comfort of a hotel, the rustic charm of a cabin or lodge, or bringing your home on wheels to one of our many RV parks, we have your lodging covered.

What about masks?

The statewide indoor masking mandate was lifted on February 16, 2022. With some exceptions such as health care facilities such as hospitals etc. masks are no longer required in any indoor settings in Siskiyou. Optional wearing of masks is still encouraged by the CDC. Come belly up to the bar and enjoy some friendly indoor dining in some of our favorite eateries and watering holes.
