Getting Here Tips

When flying into one of our closest airports, Redding Regional Airport, (RDD) and Rogue Valley -Medford Airport, (MFR,)  make sure to take advantage of mileage programs and airline membership perks to get the most for your money. Google Flights has a setting that can even monitor your trip and let you know when prices drop.

If travel by air is not your cup of tea, you can also get to Siskiyou by the Coast Starlight train route, which runs up and down the west coast from Seattle to Los Angeles and stops at the Dunsmuir Station daily. Travel by train is such an affordable and scenic way to travel! Dunsmuir does not have a ticketing kiosk, so make sure to purchase any tickets online in advance.

Once you arrive in by train, or if your road trip vehicle is not properly equipped, you can pick up an adventure ready AWD vehicle from Mt Shasta’s Road Trip Ready Rentals. This one stop shop will rent you a vehicle and outfit you with outdoor gear and camera equipment to make the most of your time in Siskiyou. Kayaks, Bike Racks, Coolers, Tents and Sleeping Bags, they have it all!

Check out free live music at the Mt Shasta Summer Concert Series or Yreka Summer Concerts In the Park, in the summer months, or just relax and enjoy the views of Mt Shasta from one of the many viewpoints around the region. (hint: Wagon Creek Bridge on Lake Siskiyou!)

Pack your bags and remember that an epic vacation doesn’t need to cost you a fortune!
