The Siskiyou Ice Rink, is an NHL regulation sized outdoor rink located in Shastice Park in Mount Shasta welcomes skaters of all ability levels. Hockey, Free skate, and full rink rentals are available in the shadows of Mount Shasta. Open 7 days a week November 19, 2022 โ February 12, 2023. Public Skate is $8-$10 and skate rentals are $2. The Siskiyou County Museum in Yreka features both indoor and outdoor exhibits in its experience. Visit a one-room schoolhouse, minerโs cabin, blacksmith shop and other historic buildings. The museum is full of objects and history from the local tribes, settlers and industries that shaped the region. Open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 am until 3 pm. $3 for adults, and children are $1, under 5 are free.
Sledding at Snowmanโs Hill is a favorite pastime for locals growing up in nearby McCloud or Mt Shasta. Located on Highway 89 directly across from the Ski Park Highway. The average run is about 300 feet and there are ample parking and bathrooms for visitors. The hill is free, but pick up a sled at Solanosโ Alpine Hardware Store in Downtown Mt Shasta and hit the slopes!
Mt Shasta Nordic Center offers groomed cross-country ski trails and packed, delicate snowshoe trails on the slopes of Mount Shasta. A Snowshoe Trail pass is free for Juniors 0-17 years and only $10 with equipment rentals. Adults aged 18-69 trail passes are $15, you can rent equipment at the Nordic Center or grab Snowshoes and poles from the Sportsmenโs Den in Mt Shasta where a half day rental is only $14.
